Oil cap dust sleeve black reduces changes that some dust will fall into oil tank which may cause the oil pump failure. If oil pump fails then probably the engine fail will follow. Dust sleeve is attached to oil cap. Dust sleeve does not stop oil leak and will not give 100% protection from dirt falling into oil tank. Dust sleeve makes it easier to clean oil cap area and keeps the cap inner area clean. Dust sleeve has breathing grooves on top that are covered with membrane and it is verified with vacuum test that the sleeve does not affect the airflow to oil tank in any way. This dust sleeve has been used by many riders.

Installation of oil cap dust sleeve
Align oil cap text “OIL” and dust sleeve longer part to same side. Stretch the sleeve over oil cap so that the cap and sleeve grooves align. Press the sleeve on the cap as far as possible.
